Mop & Clean Composite Deck Cleaner

"Buy composite decks, they are maintenance free" so everybody did but it turned out that they aren't maintenance free.  They get moldy, real bad mold, mold that is virtually impossible to take off.  Most commonly it’s mold spots, making your deck look sick as if it has some kind of disease.

Why is it so hard to take off?  It’s because of the material it was built with, its texture, composition, etc.  Composite decking is made of a mix of wood and plastic with each brand having a slightly different blend of plastic and wood.  Not being completely solid like wood creates crevices and entry ways into the body of the decking and water can get trapped.  Given the right conditions, trapped water can produce mold spore colonies that look like they are on the surface but actually they are below or within the decking.  Not all mold is inside the decking.  When you see a deck that has full sunshine on it (which normally would destroy the mold spores) that has mold spots, you have a problem.  That's why we created Mop & Clean Composite Deck Cleaner.  

It is the only one like it on the market and is formulated to clean inside the composite decking as well as outside.  No other company has taken this approach.  They all clean from the top and although somewhat successful, the spotting remains.  It does not with Mop & Clean Composite Deck Cleaner.  Mop & Clean Composite Deck Cleaner will leave your deck looking as new as it did the day it was installed, "show-room new", so new that you will not believe how clean it came out.

We found that pressure washing a composite deck can remove some of the color and the top layer of finish, as can excessive scrubbing, especially as the deck gets older.  A deck brush can scrub a divot into some composite decking as people scrub too vigorously trying to get rid of these spots, yet they remain.

Composite decking actually stains more like fabric than wood.  When something is spilled on wood it stains the surface, whereas composite decking absorbs liquid like a fabric.  Mop & Clean Composite Deck Cleaner can remove any and all staining from composite decking such as lotions, oils, and food spills. They all come off with Mop & Clean Composite Deck Cleaner!

*If the diluted solution doesn't give the satisfaction you expected, some of our customers have used the product full strength particularily on Trex decks (this reduces the coverage to about 200sq ft). There may be a slight bleach smell as we had to add 5% bleach to penetrate the composite decking surfaces.

Directions: 
Shake bottle well, and mix with one gallon of hot water in a separate bucket, mop deck as you would a kitchen floor, gently working the solution into the composite decking. Sponge mops with ringers work best, ring out dirty mop in a separate bucket before adding fresh solution to the mop. Rinse deck with hose when complete.

Environmental impact:
This is a very "green" method of cleaning because as you clean you are collecting nearly all of your own waste, very little cleaning agent actually hits the ground. Traditional deck cleaning, like pressure washing or scrubbing the deck, then hosing the solution off tends to spray all of the cleaning chemicals over the lawn and plants which is a "not so green" method.
